CSR Activities

Philanthropy is fundamental to Dr. Ram Buxani’s vision and mission in life. Over the past decades, he has touched the lives of countless people and brought a positive change, empowering them to become active, productive individuals.

He upholds the philosophy of the left hand not knowing what the right does, which gives him the right degree of anonymity to undertake causes that are close to his heart.

He also champions philanthropic activities by leading from the front because he understands that it is important for the community to step up and display solidarity to make a real difference.

A classic example is how he steered the Indian Prime Minister’s Relief Fund efforts for the earthquake victims in Gujarat, raising a whopping Rs 6 million (AED 329,267) which was directed towards rehabilitation measures during the year 2001.

Dr. Buxani is also a Board Member of the Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities, lending his wise counsel on how to bring special needs children to the mainstream and how to prepare them with the right skills.

Apart from serving as the President of Rotary Club of Jumeirah (Dubai), which undertakes a wide range of charitable activities, he is a passionate advocate of education – having served as the Chairman of Indian High School – an institution that he helped found, including in sourcing land and funds.

He is also the Director of Chinmaya International Residential School, Coimbatore.

Nurturing the next generation of talents for business, Dr. Buxani is the Founder Governor of Indian Business Leaders Forum and is associated with many such other organizations.

Committed to the cause of Sindhis and actively campaigning to ensure that the community receives the due credit it deserves, he is the Permanent Trustee and Chairman of the Indian Institute of Sindhology, Adipur.

He is also a Trustee of the Gandhidham Maitree Mandal, Gandhidham.
