Dr. Ram Buxani is the recipient of several honours, which underline the sterling contributions that he has made to business and to the Indian community – both in Dubai and the UAE.

Recipient of coveted Man of the Year Award by Bharat Ratna, a Hong Kong-based English magazine in 1992, Dr. Buxani has bagged numerous tributes such as the Shield of Honour by the President of India, the late Shri Giani Zail Singh at the Vishva Sindhi Sammelan (World Sindhi Conference) for services to the community, in 1983.

He won the Jhulelal Award instituted by International Sindhi Panchayats Federation, Mumbai presented by Shri Shanker Dayal Sharma the then Governor of Maharastra in 1987.

Dr. Buxani is also the recipient of the Shiromani Award by the Association of Shiromani Awards, New Delhi, presented by Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma, the then Vice President of India in 1987.

He has also been awarded the Udyog Ratan Award by the Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi presented by Mr. A.K. Panja the then Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in 1987.

Other laurels include the Overseas Indian Award by Priyadarshini Academy, presented by Mr. K. Brahmananda Reddy, the Governor of Maharashtra in 1988; the Sindhu Rattan Award by the Sindhu Sabha, New Delhi in the year 1999; the Jewel of Sindhis Award by Janta Janardan Parishad in 2000 and the Sindhu Bhushan Award by the All India Sindhi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Ahmedabad in 2001.

Dr. Buxani also won the Bharat Gaurav Award by the Indian Merchants’ Chamber, Mumbai presented by Mr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patel, the Union Minister of State for Finance, Government of India, in 2002.

He was honoured with the Sindhi Ratan Award by the Sindhi Jagriti Sabha, New Delhi in 2007 and the Sindhu Gaurav Award by the International Sindhu Chamber of Commerce, Pune in 2015.

He was also conferred with a Special Recognition Award by the well-known weekly magazine in the emirates - Ahlan Masala, for the most outstanding contribution to the growth of the U.A.E.

Listed thrice amongst the Most Powerful Indians in the UAE by Arabian Business magazine in the year 2010, 2011 and 2012, Dr. Buxani was also presented with the Most Inspiring Personality – CEO Award by the same magazine in 2012.

He is also ranked as of the 100 most Influential Indians in UAE by Forbes Middle East and is listed one of the 50 Richest Indians in the UAE by Arabian Business, in addition to being ranked one of the Top Indian Leaders in the Arab World by Forbes Middle East in 2014, 2015 & 2016.

He was presented the Business Leadership Excellence Award by the World Leadership Congress in 2015. He was adjudged as one of The World’s Greatest Leaders 2015 – Asia and GCC by the United Research Services (URS) International and AsiaOne Magazine – 2015.He was also presented the ‘NDTV Gulf Indian Excellence Awards’ by NDTV in 2016.

He was honoured with 100 Global Sustainable Leaders (CEO) Award by the World Sustainability Congress in 2016.

Dr. Ram Buxani (Ph.D, D. Litt) was conferred the ultra-prestigious Forbes Middle East Top Indian Leaders in the Arab World Lifetime Achievement Award on May 10, 2017, amidst jubilant felicitations by many prominent members of the international community, fans and well-wishers.

He was awarded the Leadership Icon Award, at The Living Legend & Iconic Leaders Summit ’17, by the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC), Dubai, on May 13, 2017.
